Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme 2026: Big Relief for Late Filing Penalties

The Government of India has introduced the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026). This scheme gives companies a one-time chance to complete their pending filings at a lower cost.
Many companies fail to file their Annual Return and Financial Statements on time. When this happens, they must pay a late fee of ₹100 per day, with no limit. Over time, this amount can become very high, especially for small businesses and startups.
To reduce this burden, the government has launched CCFS-2026.

15 April 2026 to 15 July 2026

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Under this scheme, companies can:
1. File Pending Documents at Lower Cost
Companies need to pay:
• Normal filing fees
• Only 10% of the additional late fees
This means huge savings.
2. Apply for Dormant Status
If a company is not active, it can apply to become a Dormant Company by paying only 50% of the normal fee. Dormant companies have fewer compliance requirements.
3. Close the Company Easily
If the company wants to shut down, it can apply for strike-off by paying only 25% of the filing fees.

All companies except
• Companies already under final strike-off notice
• Companies that already applied for strike off
• Companies already applied for dormant status before the scheme
• Dissolved companies
• Vanishing companies
