Hyper-Local Chapter Applications Due June 30, 2026

Silver Spring, MD - The African American Diabetes Association (AADA) is pleased to announce that the application deadline for its Hyper-Local Chapter program has been officially extended to June 30, 2026. This extension aims to empower more community leaders, healthcare professionals, and advocates to establish dedicated support systems within their own neighborhoods.

Diabetes disproportionately affects the African American community, with higher rates of diagnosis and complications compared to other demographics. The AADA's Hyper-Local initiative is designed to bridge this gap by providing regional leaders with the framework, resources, and national backing needed to offer culturally competent education and localized advocacy.

"Our mission is most effective when it is grassroots," said [Name], [Title] at the AADA. "By extending this deadline, we are ensuring that passionate individuals in every city have the time they need to organize their teams and join us in this critical fight for health equity."
