AUSTIN, Texas - As news continues to break about a possible shakeup at the Department of Justice, those waiting for a presidential pardon are concerned their pleas will take even longer to be heard by the White House.

It was recently reported U.S. Pardon Attorney Ed Martin is out as the head of the DOJ's Weaponization Working Group, though he will continue overseeing federal pardon and clemency requests. Deputy U.S. Atty. Todd Blanche praised Martin's work when pressed.

The White House relies on the office of U.S. Pardon Attorney to send recommendations for clemency and pardons. Recasting that role could jeopardize existing requests. Biden's Last Political Prisoner Michael C. Shirley is hopeful any administrative changes will not further delay relief for Biden's political prisoners -- now in Year 2 of his unjust sentence and President Donald J. Trump's presidency.

Mike Shirley, a Republican political strategist from Texas, is now serving a 7-year-plus federal prison sentence after standing up to the DOJ during a time when Democrats had full control of Washington.

Numerous conservative publications such as The Federalist and the Center Square have exposed Shirley's trial as one that was riddled with blatant misconduct: The Biden DOJ couldn't prove its case under the law as written - so it and the judge rewrote the jury instructions after the trial closed, broadening the statute beyond its text. Prosecutors offered contradictory theories throughout the case, repeatedly shifting their narrative just to secure a conviction. Multiple, other sources have confirmed this information.

The Biden DOJ ignored clear Supreme Court precedent that should have barred the charges entirely. The Biden DOJ relied on a witness that invoked his Fifth amendment over 60 times to include escaping charges of child sex trafficking among other potential crimes.

"If the DOJ can change the boundaries of the law on a whim during trial to convict someone they politically oppose, no American is safe," Shirley said from prison.

The Real Reason Behind His Prosecution

The Biden DOJ demanded Shirley:

1. Revive the discredited Russia hoax against Donald Trump

2. Falsely claim the 2018 Florida recounts - which elected Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Rick Scott - were stolen

3. Falsely confess to the existence of an illegal GOP fundraising operations to impede the 2024 elections

Shirley refused to lie, knowing full well there was no cavalry coming to rescue him under Democrat control.

"I stood my ground against their lies when Democrats controlled everything. No one came to save me," Shirley said. "Now, I sit here as a forgotten political prisoner - because I refused to lie. How long will it take this administration to correct this miscarriage of justice?"
