DoNoHarm Launches a Public, Science-Led Ingredient Reference and Product Scanner for Women's Health
Santa Monica, CA - February 5, 2026 - DoNoHarm, a free, science-led ingredient reference for women's health, today announced its launch. The platform combines an ingredient knowledge base with a consumer-facing product scanner to help people interpret ingredient evidence with exposure context (how products are used, how often) and life-stage considerations-moving beyond simplified "clean" shorthand.Full press release (canonical): https://donoharm.beauty/press-release

While women's health innovation is accelerating in diagnostics, therapeutics, and care delivery, many daily inputs remain under-modeled: the long-duration interaction between women's biology and consumer products, including personal care, beauty, supplements, nutrition, and household exposures. In practice, consumers and industry teams often rely on fragmented guidance or exclusion lists that simplify complexity without meaningfully reducing uncertainty.
"DoNoHarm started as a passion project built on years of gathering and organizing research," said Marieme Sane, Founder of DoNoHarm and Founder of Earthkind Ventures. "As a chemist and formulator, I kept running into the same gap: the 'clean' debate often lacks scientific anchoring, and topics like phthalates can lead to inconsistent consumer recommendations. DoNoHarm is our attempt to create a more objective baseline-so the ecosystem can make clearer, more consistent decisions."
What's new (and different): DoNoHarm is designed to be more than a yes/no list. It organizes evidence at the ingredient level while accounting for modality of exposure (e.g., topical vs ingestion), frequency, and context-so consumers and industry stakeholders can interpret relevance more consistently.
Key features at launch:
Ingredient reference that organizes evidence and highlights where findings are well-supported vs emerging or mixed
Product scanner portal: https://donoharm.beauty/scanner
Context framing across hormonally sensitive windows (e.g., puberty, pregnancy/postpartum, perimenopause, menopause)
DoNoHarm is in early stages and is beginning to collaborate with women's health organizations, researchers, clinicians, formulators, and industry operators to improve coverage, refine the framework, and prioritize the most decision-relevant gaps.
Availability: DoNoHarm is available now at https://donoharm.beauty
Call for Feedback: DoNoHarm welcomes input from operators, researchers, clinicians, formulators, and advocates. Interested contributors can reach out via the website.
