Stay Lit Smokerz Ignites New Recruitment Drive to Fuel Educational Scholarships

The Stay Lit Smokerz, the premier nonprofit BBQ competition cook team of the PGM Foundation, is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 membership recruitment drive. Known for bringing heat to the competition circuit and hope to the community, the team is seeking passionate individuals to join their ranks as they prepare for the upcoming season, including major events like the Humble Rodeo Cook-Off.
Combining culinary precision with a commitment to philanthropy, the Stay Lit Smokerz operates with a clear dual purpose: to compete at the highest levels of barbecue and to drive the mission of the PGM Foundation.
Mission: More Than Just Smoke and Meat While the Stay Lit Smokerz are serious about their brisket and ribs, their "why" goes beyond the pit. The team is dedicated to empowering Texas youth through agriculture and education. Proceeds and awareness raised through their cook-offs contribute directly to funding educational scholarships through the PGM Foundation, ensuring that the next generation has the resources they need to succeed.

Call for Talent: Open Positions To support its expanding competition schedule and community outreach, the Stay Lit Smokerz is currently accepting applications for specific high-impact roles:
* Pitmasters: Experienced hands to manage the smokers and oversee meat preparation during competitions.
* Bartenders: Skilled individuals to manage hospitality and beverage service for guests and judges.
* Support Crew Leaders: Organizational talents to handle logistics, setup, and teardown, ensuring the team operates smoothly on the road.
