Gamma Serpent Released New Music Short Film "Incident at Swamp Creek" - Single Hits Streaming Platforms Feb 20

Gamma Serpent (Finnish electronic artist Esa Linna) is back with a new release, "Incident at Swamp Creek," a music video that also works as a creature mystery short film. While the video is available to watch now, the single "Incident at Swamp Creek" will be released on music streaming platforms on the 20th of February.

Like other Gamma Serpent videos, the visuals are made using AI, but the key is how they're treated afterward. Linna manually edits and processes the footage to make it feel less like shiny "AI art" and more like an old cult VHS tape you'd discover late at night. The story was written by Tom Kajaslampi and Esa Linna.

That hands-on approach is in line with Gamma Serpent's earlier work, where the videos use AI visuals but the music stays human-made. Incident at Swamp Creek is an original electronic track featuring electric guitar and bass, created the traditional way.

"The idea was to process the AI video so that it doesn't look like AI, so I used a lot of blurring and other effects," Linna says about the video's style. Inspiration for the atmosphere has been drawn particularly from films such as The Legend of Boggy Creek and Swamp Thing.
