FREAK13 Reunites to Honor Horror Icon Lar Park Lincoln

Members of the national touring lineup of monster metal band FREAK13 Registered [https://freak13.com/] will reunite for a special all-ages tribute event honoring their friend and horror icon Lar Park Lincoln, who passed away last spring.

The event will take place Friday, February 13, at For the Record, located at 999 Calder Ave, Beaumont, TX, with doors opening at 7:00 PM.

Lar Park Lincoln [https://freak13.com/f/freak13-reunites-to-honor-horror-icon-lar-park-lincoln] is best known as the final survivor girl in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood . Beyond her film career and role on the iconic television series Knots Landing , she was an acting coach and entrepreneur who spent years helping young performers better understand the entertainment business and avoid common scams and pitfalls.

Lar first connected with FREAK13 [https://freak13.com/] at the "Jason Takes Beaumont" event at The Art Studio, beginning a friendship that would have a lasting impact on the band.

The event will feature a reunion acoustic set by FREAK13, a 50 Hockey Mask Salute photo honoring Lar, and the debut of a short documentary centered on the band's song "Crystal Lake." In 2005, Betsy Palmer recorded narration for the track, which was released in 2006 at the first-ever Texas Frightmare Weekend convention in Dallas.

A special vinyl release of "Crystal Lake" (featuring Betsy Palmer) will be available which will also feature Drachen's 20th anniversary single, "The Familiar Spirit."

"We're excited to do this for a good friend of the band and an important tribute," said FREAK13's Scott Lackey.

"And it'll be great to release a vinyl single in a venue like For the Record that's not only for live music, but a record store as well. We've worked up some cool acoustic versions of some of our best-known songs."

With permission from Lar's son, the band will also present the first Lar Park Lincoln Final Girl Survivor Award, honoring a woman who helps young women who have dealt with abuse and other severe life challenges.

FREAK13 [https://freak13.com/] will open the night, followed by Kill Larry and Phantum Sun.

This gathering is about more than music. It is about honoring a woman who changed lives and left a lasting mark on the horror community and those who knew her personally.
