RUNHAUS Launches 2026 European Running Tour Series - Redefining the Modern Running Experience

02-03-2026 05:42 PM CET | Tourism, Cars, Traffic

Press release from: RUNHAUS

A new travel concept merges performance running, luxury villa stays, and authentic community connection across four iconic European destinations.

RUNHAUS, a new premium running travel brand, has officially announced its inaugural 2026 European tour series, offering curated small-group running trips designed specifically for runners in their 20s and 30s seeking deeper connection, purposeful training, and unforgettable shared travel experiences.

The launch marks the arrival of a new category within the running and travel space - combining structured, high-quality running experiences with boutique luxury accommodation and adventure-led travel.

RUNHAUS will operate four flagship destination trips across Europe in 2026, including the Italian countryside, the French Alps, the Spanish Pyrenees, and Madeira, Portugal.

A New Third Space for Modern Runners

Founded by travel entrepreneur and community-focused runner Sid Adams, RUNHAUS was created in response to a growing cultural shift within the running world. As running continues to evolve beyond performance metrics and race results, Adams recognised a growing demand for connection, experience-led training, and social travel.

"Running has become far more than sport," says Adams. "It's become identity, lifestyle, and community. What we're seeing is people searching for environments where they can train properly, explore new places, and build real relationships - not just show up for a weekly club run and go home again."

RUNHAUS aims to fill that gap by creating immersive, multi-day running experiences where participants live, train, and explore together in carefully selected locations known for their scenery, culture, and running terrain.

The brand describes its trips as sitting somewhere between a training camp, a holiday with close friends, and a luxury retreat - without the pressure or competitiveness traditionally associated with elite training camps.

The RUNHAUS Experience

Each RUNHAUS trip runs between five and eight days and is intentionally limited in group size, typically hosting between 6 and 27 participants depending on destination. This smaller format allows for personalised pacing groups, stronger community interaction, and a more premium experience.

Trips are based out of private luxury villas or chalets that function as both accommodation and social hubs. These properties are carefully selected to offer communal living environments that encourage connection, shared downtime, and group activities beyond running.

Every RUNHAUS itinerary includes:

Daily guided runs across road, trail, and elevation-based routes

Structured training sessions such as interval workouts and long-run days

Airport or central transport transfers

Majority of meals provided in shared, family-style formats

Adventure and cultural activities unique to each destination

Recovery and wellness experiences including saunas, downtime, and group relaxation spaces

Running groups are tailored across multiple pacing levels to ensure accessibility for a wide spectrum of runners while maintaining performance credibility.

"We want the training to be purposeful and structured, but inclusive," Adams explains. "You can come to improve, to challenge yourself, or simply to experience running somewhere extraordinary alongside like-minded people."

2026 Destination Series

RUNHAUS' debut tour calendar highlights four carefully selected European destinations, each chosen for its distinct running environment and cultural identity.

Italian Countryside - Bologna & San Marino

Set among rolling hills and historic landscapes, the Italian trip blends scenic countryside running with cultural exploration. Participants tackle summit runs to the UNESCO-listed microstate of San Marino, countryside long runs, and social activities including wake park sessions and padel tennis.

The French Alps - Chamonix Valley

The Alpine trip centres around world-renowned mountain running terrain. Participants experience high-altitude trail routes, iconic viewpoints accessible by cable car, and structured interval sessions on the famous Chamonix athletics track, combined with adventure activities and chalet-based social living.

The Spanish Pyrenees - Catalonia Region

Located near Barcelona, the Pyrenees trip offers dramatic mountain and river valley routes alongside hiking adventures such as the famous Pedraforca 360° summit trail. Cultural exploration includes visits to Montserrat Monastery, with padel and social downtime integrated into the schedule.

Madeira, Portugal

Madeira delivers some of Europe's most visually striking running routes, including the renowned Ribeira Valley trail network. The itinerary features sunrise hikes across Pico do Arieiro ridgelines, canyoning experiences, and ocean-view recovery environments.

Built Around Community

While performance running remains central, RUNHAUS places equal emphasis on social experience and shared living.

Participants share meals, downtime, and accommodation spaces designed to foster genuine friendships. According to Adams, this communal aspect is fundamental to the brand's identity.

"The strongest feedback we've received isn't about pace or routes - it's about the people participants meet," Adams says. "When you spend multiple days training, eating, exploring, and living together, the relationships naturally go deeper."

RUNHAUS intentionally markets toward individuals in their 20s and 30s - a demographic Adams believes is searching for new forms of social connection, particularly as traditional social environments evolve.

The Rise of Experience-Led Fitness Travel

RUNHAUS enters the market during rapid growth in experience-based travel and fitness tourism, particularly among younger travellers prioritising wellness and meaningful experiences over conventional holidays.

Industry reports show increasing demand for small-group, purpose-driven travel experiences that combine physical activity with social and cultural immersion.

RUNHAUS aims to position itself at the intersection of these trends - delivering premium experiences while maintaining authenticity and community accessibility.

Brand Partnerships and Industry Collaboration

Alongside consumer tours, RUNHAUS is actively developing partnerships with performance apparel brands, running communities, and content creators. The company has also signalled interest in launching co-branded trips and community-exclusive travel experiences with running clubs and lifestyle brands.

Adams notes that partnerships are intended to feel organic rather than purely promotional.

"Everything we build has to feel genuine to participants. We work with partners who share the same values around performance, quality, and community experience."

Limited Capacity and Exclusive Releases

RUNHAUS has chosen to release its trips in controlled, limited-capacity drops rather than traditional open booking systems. The brand believes this model supports both quality control and exclusivity.

The company expects approximately 170-220 participants across its 2026 tour series, with early interest already exceeding initial projections.

Looking Ahead

While 2026 marks RUNHAUS' official debut season, the company has confirmed plans to expand into additional destinations and longer-format training experiences in future years.

Adams envisions RUNHAUS evolving into a global community platform built around shared running experiences.

"RUNHAUS isn't just trips," he says. "It's about building a network of runners around the world who meet through these experiences and stay connected long after they leave."

Booking Information

Bookings for RUNHAUS 2026 tours are now live via the official RUNHAUS website. Trips operate on limited capacity and are expected to sell out through staged release drops throughout the year.
