The first Digital Procurement Day will take place on March 30, 2017, in Vienna. Current trends and recommendations for modern Procurement will be presented and discussed at the event. It will be hosted by the procurement software vendor POOL4TOOL and participants will be invited to the company's new headquarters in Vienna. With many years of experience in Procurement, the Austrian company has been focused on digital business processes for more efficient work from the beginning. "We have been working on digitizing Procurement processes for over 15 years. Back then, this was seen as very specialized and wasn't very important for many Procurement organizations. Things are completely different today and terms like Cognitive Procurement, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things are hot topics," says Thomas Dieringer, CEO of POOL4TOOL AG, about developments in recent years. "We want to use the Digital Procurement Day to offer a discussion platform for the subject and to exchange ideas with experts."

KPMG, riskmethods and EcoVadis On Board

"Digital Meets Procurement" is the motto of the day and the main theme of the program. After a keynote speech from Thomas Dieringer about Cognitive Procurement, participants can expect a guest talk from Dr. Marcus Schüller, Head of Operations Consulting at KPMG Germany. He will answer the question of whether Procurement will be defined by algorithms or completely done away with by 2035. POOL4TOOL will then put this imminent paradigm shift up for discussion in the program: experts from riskmethods, EcoVadis and KPMG will highlight the influence of digitization on the world of work, on CSR questions and the whole supply chain.(http://hubs.ly/H06gYLr0)
