Growing trend amongst expat communities to give the services of a tutor as a gift to express thanks

Tutors International announces an increase in enquiries for private tutors from wealthy expatriates who are seeking original gifts for foreign colleagues and associates.

"The question of what to give as a gift in these circumstances is something I am hearing more and more about," says Adam Caller, founder of Tutors International, specialist providers of live-in tutors. "Our clients are wealthy individuals, many of whom are living outside of their resident country, and use our private tutoring services to ensure that their children receive the very best education regardless of family circumstances. Either through business ventures or personal matters, many have found themselves looking for a way to say thank you to a foreign colleague or civil servant in such a way that crosses the cultural divide and is truly original. A car is a common gift, but it’s becoming increasingly popular to give gifts that are less materialistic and show a genuine desire to have a positive impact on someone’s life," Adam explained.

"When I first heard about the idea of giving the services of one of our live-in tutors to a colleague’s family I was intrigued," Adam said. "I’d never had an enquiry like that before. But then when I thought more about it, I realized that it’s a fantastic way to express thanks to someone who may already have received all of the run-of-the-mill business gifts. Giving the gift of an excellent, tailored education to the colleague’s child not only expresses thanks in a really creative way, it also shows that person that the giver is genuinely interested in helping the child to succeed academically. I can’t think of a better way to show gratitude than that," Adam enthused.
