Outlook for 2026
Looking ahead, Inverteum is balancing confidence in its process with caution about macro and political factors that could shape the year to come.
"Although 2025 results have been outstanding, we are cautious about 2026," Chan said. "2026 will be the fourth year of the current bull market that began in 2023. Also, 2026 is a midterm election year in the US. Since 1948, the S&P 500 has averaged about 4.6% returns in midterm election years, with positive performance only 58% of the time."
Chan added that Inverteum believes the firm is well-positioned for a more uncertain environment. "Fortunately, our strategies are designed to detect patterns from nearly two decades of market data, allowing the firm to deliver consistent returns regardless of market conditions."
