OctoNerv Develops Functional Prototype for Electronic Breast

OctoNerv LLC has completed development of a functional electronic prototype for an implantable breast reconstruction device, currently in the research and development stage.

The prototype is being explored as a potential solution to address an unmet need in post-mastectomy breast reconstruction by enabling controlled anatomical projection as part of reconstructive outcomes. The system integrates a soft silicone structure with internal micro-actuation, pressure sensing, wireless charging, and Bluetooth Low Energy communication to evaluate mechanical and electronic feasibility.

This device is not a commercial product and has not undergone clinical validation. No animal or human testing has been conducted to date. The prototype was developed solely to support early-stage feasibility assessment and informed research discussions.

OctoNerv's current focus is limited to research and development, expert feedback, and engagement with clinical, innovation, and research organizations to help guide responsible future development and assess potential translational relevance.

OctoNerv LLC is a privately held medical technology company based in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
