Quarter to Fitness Introduces Women-Only Fitness Guides Grounded in Sustainable Wellness and Social Impact
Founder's health experience and commitment to animal welfare inform a practical approach to fitness for women 25+Quarter to Fitness, a women-focused fitness and wellness brand, has announced the release of two women-only fitness guides and accompanying healthy recipe packs developed for women aged 25 and over. The initiative reflects the brand's emphasis on sustainable wellness practices and social responsibility, with a portion of earnings allocated to animal shelters.
The newly released guides are designed to address two common needs among women in this age group. One guide focuses on long-term lifestyle wellness, supporting the development of consistent routines through short, structured workouts and balanced nutrition guidance intended to fit into everyday life. The second guide is designed for short-term preparation for special events, such as weddings, vacations, or other milestone occasions, offering a focused framework within a defined timeframe.
Rather than promoting high-intensity or rigid fitness models, Quarter to Fitness emphasizes moderation, adaptability, and repeatable habits. The guides are structured to support women seeking a realistic approach to movement and nutrition without relying on restrictive or extreme methods.
The framework behind Quarter to Fitness was shaped by founder Karol Dugan's personal health experience. After being diagnosed with a heart condition, Dugan reevaluated fitness approaches centered on intensity and overexertion. The diagnosis prompted a shift toward prioritizing recovery, consistency, and long-term sustainability, principles that later informed the brand's overall methodology.
During this period, Dugan adopted a dog, an experience she credits with reinforcing those changes. Daily walks and shared routines emphasized the value of steady, low-impact movement and highlighted how physical activity can be integrated naturally into everyday life. This perspective further influenced the brand's view of fitness as a supportive practice rather than a performance-driven pursuit.
"My health experience changed how I thought about exercise," said Dugan. "Getting a dog reinforced that movement doesn't need to be extreme to be effective. It needs to be consistent and sustainable."
Dugan's connection to animal welfare became integrated into the business model as the brand developed. A portion of earnings from Quarter to Fitness guides is directed toward animal shelters, supporting care, resources, and services for animals in need. The brand views wellness as extending beyond individual outcomes to include broader community impact.
In addition to fitness guidance, Quarter to Fitness offers healthy recipe packs designed to support balanced nutrition while avoiding restrictive approaches. Together, the fitness and nutrition resources reflect a practical, long-term perspective on wellness shaped by lived experience and purpose-driven values.

University of Stockholm rejects Waldorf teaching program
Stockholm Institute of Education, a teacher training college, merged into Stockholm University in January, 2008. The merger included 700 employees and 14,000 students. It also included a Waldorf (Steiner) teacher training program, which, in keeping with its cultic origin, was a separate program inside the Institute. After the merger, it appears that the University faculty became aware of its shortcomings, and canceled the eleven courses that constituted the Waldorf program.
