Stress in front of the boss - speech coaching in Berlin ( (C) WAHLUNIVERSUM (R) / Jessica Wahl )

Berlin - The moment has arrived. Everyone is looking ahead. The presentation is prepared, every slide is in place. But as soon as she begins, her voice tightens, her mind goes blank and her hands become clammy. Stage fright.
This is how a Berlin company employee who regularly presents to her team and management describes it: 'I knew everything. But just as I was getting started, I suddenly felt unable to think straight.' What follows is often a bumpy start, and the feeling of not having demonstrated her full potential.

The change in perspective comes quickly: the boss has little time. What counts for him is not how much work went into the preparation, but whether the message comes across in a clear, structured and convincing way. Studies confirm this impression. According to the Harvard Business Review, around 60 percent of managers state that nervousness has already had a negative impact on presentations. 45 percent even report that stage fright noticeably reduces the impact of decisions and communication within the team. Those who start off insecurely often lose attention in the first few seconds - regardless of the content.

This is exactly where professional performance coaching comes in. At Jessica Wahl's Institute for Personal Performance Coaching in Berlin-Kreuzberg, managers, employees and executives work specifically on their presence in decisive moments.
"Stage fright is not a sign of incompetence, but of responsibility," says performance coach Jessica Wahl. "But if nervousness blocks the introduction, even a technically brilliant presentation won't reach its audience. We train voice, posture, breathing and mental preparation so that people can communicate clearly, calmly and convincingly even under pressure."

In times of digital tools, many rely on AI-supported presentations. These help to structure content and formulate texts - but do not replace the moment of presentation. "The impact is not created on the slide, but in the person speaking," emphasizes Wahl. "Especially in front of superiors, personal presence determines whether content is heard, understood and taken seriously."

Jessica Wahl's performance coaching combines mental strength with practical communication work. The aim is not to suppress stage fright, but to transform it into focused energy. Because those who master the introduction not only gain attention - but also confidence.

When uncertainty grows, every speech becomes a test of leadership
Berlin. The figures are volatile, the decisions unpopular, the attention high. In the economic situation of 2026, executives in Germany are under particular scrutiny. Investments are being postponed, structures reviewed, priorities reset. And almost every one of these decisions has to be explained--to employees, committees, supervisory boards, or investors. In this environment, the function of speeches and presentations has changed. They no longer serve primarily to inform, but to provide orientation.

Do you sometimes feel "too smart for the room" -- or do you know someone whose thoughts move faster than everyone else's? High intelligence opens doors: to creative solutions, complex problem-solving, and exceptional achievements. At the same time, it can lead to misunderstandings, frustration, or social distance in everyday life. Research and practice show: a high IQ alone does not guarantee smooth communication. Misunderstandings often arise not from a lack of intent,

Humanity in the age of AI: Vulnerability instead of perfect language
Berlin - Voice, style, facial expressions, arguments: What was long considered the unmistakable expression of human individuality can now be reproduced technically. Artificial intelligence writes speeches, imitates emotions, simulates closeness. What remains when everything that defines a human being appears interchangeable? The question is not a technological one, but an anthropological one. It does not focus on the performance of machines, but on the self-image of a society that is

Are you replaceable? - Why humans must not stop working on themselves despite AI
In a rapidly changing world in which artificial intelligence (AI) is taking over more and more tasks, a central question arises: what remains for humans? "Machines are faster, more precise and more efficient in many areas. But they are not human. They have no soul. They don't feel," says performance coach Jessica Wahl. At a time when technology is transforming the world of work, it's not about fighting machines, but about
