Wilhelmshaven 21.04.2008: Andreas Jansen, Managing Director of German ProfEC GmbH, fills the function as Consulting Advisor of the first Board of Directors of the Latin American Wind Energy Association (LAWEA). On his way of supporting wind energy development in Latin America and the Caribbean, Mr. Andreas Jansen got part of the first Board of Directors at LAWEA. Within this new task Mr. Andreas Jansen will be responsible for questions around wind energy consultancy and wind farm planning issues towards LAWEA members and other stakeholders. Moreover he provides support to develop strategies and activities for a better regulatory framework on wind energy in Latin America. "I feel much honored that this function has been dedicated to me and that I can support the important work of LAWEA professional skills. My new tasks and responsibilities at LAWEA perfectly fit to the mission statement of my personal work on wind energy: Bridging the gap of knowledge, knowhow and market access in the field of wind energy in Latin America and the Caribbean. LAWEA is an ambitious and inevitable organization to increase the quality and success of wind energy development in Latin America and the Caribbean".
