One sentence, one idea, five hours later an app / Vibe coding will be the thing in 2026

Long concepts, endless coordination, full backlogs. In many companies, it takes weeks for an idea to become something visible. A small experiment shows how quickly software can be created today: Digital Product Manager Florian Knust from Clever Mangos has created ???? - ??? ???? - from idea to executable app in around five hours.

The trigger was not a business case, a specification sheet or a product workshop. It was curiosity. "I wanted to know what happens when you treat AI not like a tool, but like a good programmer," says Knust, who has been developing and managing digital products for over 20 years.

The result is deliberately small. FLX uses camera recognition and AI libraries such as MediaPipe, but dispenses with any form of product claim. No roadmap thinking, no urge for perfection. Instead, a simple question: what happens when you just do it?

"I used to write requirements documents and wait for developers," says Knust. "Today, you type a thought into an AI and see if anything comes of it. And often something does come out of it."

FLX is no substitute for professional software development, nor is it intended to be. Nobody would use it to control a nuclear power plant. But this is precisely where the provocation lies: many everyday applications don't require months-long projects, but the courage to try things out quickly.

What began as a game reveals a structural problem in companies. Too much planning, too little experimentation. The same methods can be used to build small office helpers, internal tools, quick prototypes or idea tests - in hours instead of months. A playful approach suddenly becomes something that brings real benefits on the job.

This approach is increasingly being described as vibecoding. It is not about perfect solutions, but about movement. Ideas are visualized, tested and discarded. Learning happens by doing, not by PowerPoint.

The Hamburg-based AI consultancy Clever Mangos is taking up precisely this idea. From 2026, the company will be offering vibecoding and AI seminars for companies and interested parties. The aim is to enable employees to use AI independently and sensibly - not as a buzzword, but as a tool for everyday work.

FLX is therefore less a game than a statement.
An indication that innovation today does not fail because of technology, but because of mindsets.
