In the data center CPU market, while ARM and RISC-V architectures have begun making inroads, the dominant mainstream remains the x86 architecture, with the primary manufacturers being Intel and AMD. Intel has introduced the Xeon sub-brand specifically for its server-targeted processors. Intel has long dominated the server CPU market, and its Xeon series processors are widely used in data centers and cloud computing environments. Despite recent challenges, Intel still holds over 70% of the market share.
AMD has rapidly risen with its EPYC series processors, steadily increasing its market share in the server CPU space. Its high cost-performance ratio and customized solutions are particularly popular among enterprise customers. The EPYC series has demonstrated impressive performance in AI and cloud computing applications, with strong single-core performance and robust multi-core scalability serving as its key competitive advantages.

Huawei's Kunpeng series server CPUs, which are based on the ARM architecture, are mainly aimed at the domestic Chinese market and specific industry needs such as cloud computing and edge computing. Although these processors have not yet achieved widespread adoption globally, they are gradually expanding their application range, benefiting from domestic policy support and a growing ecosystem.
