Canadian Emerging Technologist from Calgary Introduces Autonomous Shuttle Prototype Project

Brand image representing the engineering and design work of Canadian emerging technologist Brodie Groch.
The shuttle prototype is a scaled engineering platform approximately one eighth the size of the intended full-scale concept. It is designed to explore GPS-guided autonomous navigation across different terrain types. The system uses a custom frame built from EMT conduit, structural mounts produced through 3D printing, and a modular electronics stack created from both purchased and repurposed components. The platform acts as an experimental environment for mechanical testing, sensor integration, and navigation logic development.
Groch's wider portfolio features projects that span technical engineering builds, design execution, systems architecture, and analytical modelling. His work includes a precision elastic-band-powered vehicle, a milk-jug propelled launcher, brand and systems analyses, and research that examines behavioural and performance dynamics. His project methodology is shaped by disciplined preparation, clarity of structure, and an interest in creating systems that are exact, durable, and intentionally designed.
The updated portfolio at https://brodiegroch.ca presents this range of work in a clear and structured format intended for employers, collaborators, and technical audiences. The site highlights Groch's growing focus on mechanical systems, design implementation, and long-form engineering development.
