The RF generator is mainly composed of 5 parts: DC power supply module, oscillation circuit module, power amplifier module, RF power detection module, and RF interlocking control module.

DC power supply module: supplies power to the internal control circuit board of the power supply, including 24V, 15V and other voltages;

Oscillator circuit module: is the crystal oscillation part, generating a sine wave signal;

Power amplifier module: consists of several solid-state transistors, the main purpose is to amplify the power of high-frequency signals so that the output power meets the output requirements;

RF power detection module: mainly detects the control circuit, detects the incident power and reflected power through high-frequency measurement inductance, and provides the signal to the main control board to achieve automatic PID control;

RF interlock control module: mainly a switch signal mode, which can provide safety interlocking functions, such as RF output line interlocking, high-voltage interlocking, RF output interlocking, over-temperature interlocking and other control functions.

The main downstream applications of RF power supply include semiconductors, photovoltaics, display panels, medical and RF sensing -

Semiconductor: such as etching, thin film deposition (CVD and PVD), ion implantation, cleaning and degumming, etc.; one of the moment equipment is equipped with 1 HF power supply and 1/2 LF power supply in a single cavity. The advantage of HF power supply as Source is that it can make particles in plasma collide more times, so as to obtain high-density particles; LF power supply as Bias source is easier to give particles higher speed and kinetic energy, so that ions have stronger bombardment ability.

Photovoltaic: mainly thin film deposition, used in the coating process of Topcon and HJT cell production.

Medical: mainly medical minimally invasive surgery. The advantage of RF energy in almost all medical applications comes from the heat generated by some form of RF generator. In minimally invasive surgery, skin tissue is usually destroyed by radiofrequency ablation. It is divided into monopolar and bipolar according to the type of radiofrequency electrode. In monopolar radiofrequency ablation, a group of electrodes uses a grounding plate to form a circuit flowing through the whole body, providing energy at the tumor location. The grounding plate serves as the return path of the radiofrequency current and is usually located on the patient's thigh or back. Bipolar radiofrequency ablation allows current to flow between multiple groups of electrodes and does not require the use of a grounding plate.

Industrial RF induction heating: RF power can also be used for heating, where induction heating is also called all-solid-state high-frequency induction heating. In terms of application, in 2024, semiconductors will occupy a mainstream position, with a market share of more than 50%.
