On November 7, 2025, Beijing time, the "2025 Forum on China-Africa Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation" was held in Jinhua, China. It is reported that the Forum facilitated the signing of 33 China-Africa cooperation projects, covering trade, overseas investment, engineering contracting, and overseas warehouse construction, with a total contracted amount of 40.105 billion yuan.

In terms of economy and trade, Jinhua's small commodities and home appliances are highly popular in the African markets. From January to September of this year, its exports to Africa totaled 111.49 billion yuan. Meanwhile, agricultural products abundant in Africa, such as nuts, oilseeds, and wool are also well received by Jinhua citizens. Data indicates that in 2024, agricultural products imported by Jinhua from Africa accounted for 32.4% of the total amount of agricultural products imported from Africa by Zhejiang Province. Additionally, Jinhua has been vigorously developing new business forms such as entrepot trade and processing trade to continuously increase the added value of African agricultural products and sell them to all parts of China and the whole world.

In addition to the growing economic and trade ties, cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Jinhua and Africa have also been deepened and achieved fruitful results. With the strong support of Zhejiang Normal University, Jinhua University of Vocational Technology, and Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College, Jinhua has provided educational opportunities for more than 15,000 international students from over 50 African countries and regions, thus building a talent cultivation channel that transcends mountains and seas.

From Yiwu's small commodities in the markets across Africa, to the China-Tanzania Industrial Park nurturing hopes for employment; from Juncao technology taking root in desert soils, to educational exchanges strengthening the foundation of mutual understanding. Each number holds a story of two-way commitment. For example, Diallo, an international student from Guinea, founded a trading company after graduation and successfully sold Yiwu's small commodities to many African countries, achieving an annual sales volume of over 30 million yuan. This vividly demonstrates the win-win results brought about by educational cooperation.

Twenty-five years of joint endeavor reflect Jinhua's dedication to China-Africa cooperation and the enduring bond that spans thousands of miles. Shared aspirations transcend distance. The "Jinhua Bridge" carries the vitality of trade, the depth of industry, and the warmth of cultural connection.
