The new "Asterix in Lusitania" (Portugal) is not only available in the L?sch bookshop. What is the name of the Communicatio agency mentioned there? Correct answers will again be rewarded with a snack board and a pencil.

With Denis Scheck, we fried a "K?lner Schnitte" from Franz Kafka's cookbook, which may soon no longer be called a "veggie burger". As fans of wood chips, however, we wonder why nobody bans the term "real wood" for products made of chipboard with a 0.7 mm wood veneer, even though many buyers still believe that they have bought solid wood furniture.
Visit us on the Day of the Carpenter and the Kitchen on Nov. 8, when we will show you the differences and, if you like, you can take part in the deer sausage Cologne slice cooking workshop at 9:00 am. (Here we explain the background of real solid wood furniture).

Ute Plank's paintings are still hanging in our exhibition and are just as open for sale as our kitchens, upholstered furniture, coffee tables, bedrooms and everything else that can be seen and taken away.

The company was founded in 1988 in Hersbruck near Nuremberg as a holistically oriented furniture manufacturer. In 1997, the newly founded Die M?belmacher GmbH, now with around 15 employees, moved into the new ecological building in Unterkrumbach, where furniture and kitchens are made to order from solid wood from the region.
The range is complemented by the complete furnishing of kitchens, living and working environments, from lighting and upholstered furniture to curtains and even hi-fi systems made from local wood. They have been awarded the Sustainability Prize of the City of Nuremberg, named Bavaria's environmental ambassador, won the Thalhofer Prize and, since the 2005 Craftsmanship Prize, they have been one of the seven best German craft businesses. In 2010, they won the German Local Sustainability Award. In 2021 and 2022, they were nominated for the Lammsbr?u Sustainability Award and the German Sustainability Award "Local Hero", also in 2023 and 2024. In 2023, they won the IGR's Ergonomics Innovation Award, and in 2024, their workshop was named the most beautiful in Germany by the jury of the trade magazine DDS. On November 28, 2024, they won the German Sustainability Award 2025 in the furniture and furnishings category.
