Sunarise Launches Solar-Powered Internet Solutions for Underserved Areas in the Philippines
Sunarise, a Manila-based sustainable technology company, has officially launched its solar-powered internet initiative designed to bring reliable connectivity to underserved and off-grid communities across the Philippines.
Founded in 2023 and operational since 2024, Sunarise focuses on three key divisions: Sunarise Tailor, a creative division supporting local custom-made designs and entrepreneurship; Sunarise DIY, which promotes sustainability through do-it-yourself solar education; and Sunarise Connect, a solar-powered internet project aimed at bridging the digital divide in rural and low-access regions.
The company has already completed several pilot installations in Santa Ana and Quiapo, Manila, providing clean and continuous internet access powered entirely by solar energy. Each system is designed for areas with limited infrastructure, ensuring both energy independence and environmental responsibility.
Sunarise has also been an invited participant at key sustainability and social innovation events, including LP4Y (Life Project 4 Youth) and 3ZERO Forum in Manila. In November 2025, the company will conduct an educational session for LP4Y students to promote awareness about solar technology and its benefits in community development.
According to Sunarise founder Jonathan Paseuth, the company's mission is "to empower communities through sustainable energy and digital inclusion. Access to power and connectivity should be a right, not a privilege."
Sunarise continues to collaborate with local partners and organizations to expand its network of solar installations across the Philippines. The company's long-term goal is to make renewable energy accessible to all while creating opportunities for education, innovation, and growth.
