What does your new role mean for SHL Healthcare Bulgaria's future?
Slavina Zdravtcheva:
My role plays a key part in shaping a future where customer projects are executed with precision, speed, and sustainability. Our goal is to deliver solutions that meet customer expectations while establishing robust and efficient processes for mass production. Upholding the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance is non-negotiable, and we'll continue to achieve this by embedding lean principles into every stage of our operations. Ultimately, we're working toward a culture where excellence is the norm and where we take pride and enjoyment in the journey as much as in the results.
Petar Matev:

Our projects benefit from the synergy of this global network-China provides strong support in scalable project management, while Sweden contributes regulatory guidance and strategic oversight. Our Textile Center of Excellence in Borås also plays a vital role in driving innovation and efficiency. This cross-site collaboration is a cornerstone of our success and ensures that every solution we deliver reflects SHL Healthcare's global standards of quality and excellence.
Petar Matev:
I fully share Slavina's view. We work very closely with our teams in China and Sweden through hybrid, cross-country teams that bring together diverse perspectives and specialized expertise. This structure allows us to tackle shared projects seamlessly, maximize resource efficiency, and accelerate problem-solving. Most importantly, it enables us to leverage the full strength of SHL Healthcare's global talent - driving innovation, agility, and continuous improvement across all our locations.
What role does the Sofia facility play in SHL's global supply chain and product development lifecycle?
Slavina Zdravtcheva:
In today's dynamic geopolitical landscape, our facility in Sofia is a strategic asset for both resilience and proximity. Being located in the EU allows us to source materials efficiently from Europe and Turkey, reducing lead times while maintaining access to trusted suppliers in Asia. On the product development side, Bulgaria plays a crucial role in accelerating the transfer of products from China, enabling faster time-to-market and strengthening our global supply chain.
