Meet Naira Chakurkar, a girl from Latur, and Akshay Chaturvedi, a boy from Bhopal - two artists from small towns in India who dared to dream beyond boundaries. Together, they've created PRETEND - a raw, psychological thriller that's now on its international film festival run, generating immense buzz online and offline.
Shot 80% in a single room of their studio apartment in Mumbai, PRETEND was made by an eight-member crew who shared one thing in common - an unshakable love for cinema. With limited resources but limitless passion, the team completed the entire film - from pre-production to post-production - in just six months. The movie was shot on the Sony FX3 cinema camera over eight intense days, with every frame crafted by hand, heart, and sheer determination.
The trailer of PRETEND has already struck a chord with audiences, crossing 240K views on Instagram and 34K views on YouTube - proof that authentic storytelling connects across borders.
But PRETEND isn't just about numbers. It's about spirit - the belief that it doesn't matter where you come from, but where your courage can take you. Whether it's a small town or a big city, dreams truly have no boundaries.
