rwzh rechtsanwälte opens office in Leipzig with renowned newcomer Dr Stefan Zenker

rwzh rechtsanwälte will start operating at its new location in Leipzig on 15 October 2025 with Dr Stefan Zenker, LL.M. (London), who joins the firm as a non-equity partner.

Dr Zenker complements the firm's rapidly growing litigation practice. He has specialised in IP and competition law for over 15 years. He began his career as a lawyer at Harte-Bavendamm in Hamburg. There, he advised well-known clients, particularly from the food and consumer goods, fashion and sports equipment industries, primarily on trademark and competition law, design and copyright law. In 2017, Zenker, who is considered to be well connected, founded his own law firm, initially based in Hamburg and later in Berlin. At the same time, he joined the corporate legal department of Deutsche Bahn as a lawyer (in-house counsel). Since 2024, he has held a leading professional role there as Principal Expert for trademark and competition law. According to industry magazine JUVE, he is also considered one of the top in-house trademark lawyers in the market (2022).

In addition to his extensive litigation experience and expert opinion work, particularly in tra-demark and competition law (most recently also regularly in the context of "green claims"), Dr Zenker contributes a wealth of expertise in the development of intellectual property stra-tegies and the management of international trademark portfolios, as well as in the areas of licence agreements and IP/IT in corporate transactions (M&A). Clients appreciate the deep understanding of the needs of companies and decision-makers that he has acquired during his many years of in-house work.
