BUCHAREST, ROMANIA - October 12, 2025
Prof. Dr. Eugenio Roberto Caligiuri, Honorary Consul for the Republic of Equatorial Guinea to Romania and an international lawyer specializing in diplomatic and consular law, has announced the launch of the International Diplomacy and Law Awareness Program. The initiative is designed to promote understanding of international legal principles, peaceful dialogue, and cooperative diplomacy among states and institutions.
The program will bring together diplomats, academics, and professionals through seminars and policy roundtables addressing international law, humanitarian cooperation, and governance ethics. It also aims to engage younger generations by highlighting the importance of international legal order and responsible statecraft in today's complex geopolitical environment.
Dr. Caligiuri's distinguished career includes decades of service across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. In his capacity as Diplomatic Envoy-at-Large, he participated in the First World Conference on Human Rights held by the United Nations in Vienna on 14 June 1993, representing the International Parliament for Safety and Peace-marking his early and ongoing commitment to advancing humanitarian values and international dialogue.
With a background in international law, human rights, and public diplomacy, Prof. Caligiuri has lectured and collaborated with numerous academic and governmental bodies. He continues to advocate for ethical governance, peaceful dispute resolution, and the strengthening of institutional partnerships across continents.
Prof. Caligiuri holds multiple academic degrees including MB.BS (Hons), JD (Law), MA in International Relations, MBA, and PhD in International Law. He has been recognized with high honors such as Hijo Benemérito de Guinea Ecuatorial (2005), Ciudadano Benemérito de Honor de Buenos Aires (2013), and Ciudadano de Honor de Cartagena de Indias (2016).
