The state of tension in the living room - reflections by Mr. von L'oerot

In a world where regulations are galloping, talk shows are derailing and a sense of duty is back on the marching band stage, a certain "Mr. von L'oreot" is speaking out. Who? Yes, that's right. A cultivated, slightly desperate older gentleman with a sense of order, nonsense and liverwurst bread. And anyone who thinks this is an accountant from the provinces at work is mistaken. This is a new satirical character, following in the tradition of the great German humorist Vicco von B?low, alias Loriot - without copying him, but with a loving homage to his tone, his attitude and his handwriting.

A satirical essay in the best sense of the word

Particularly charming: the article also includes an authentic television interview from Radio Bremen from 1979 - a real Loriot, i.e. without any "von". In it, Vicco von B?low talks about the responsibility of the media, party-political overload and the danger of television "taking a stand instead of presenting". These statements fit our times frighteningly well - and are therefore a worthy sounding board for the text.

A contribution to enlightenment - through humor

In a media world that either scandalizes or sedates, this article comes across as a civil emergency stop with humour.
