Codex Labs to Exhibit Launch of New L-Histidine Supplements at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference
The Codex Labs team will showcase their L-histadine unflavored powder for infants aged 3 months to 3 years, as well as the L-histadine gummy bears for children aged 4 to 12 years. The amino acid L-histidine has been studied in pediatric and adult medicine to show significant improvements in those with eczema. By supporting the formation of filaggrin, a protein for the skin barrier, to help produce Natural Moisturization Factor (NMF).
Dr. Barbara Paldus, founder and CEO of Codex Labs, will exhibit the new L-histidine with the assistance of Dr. Jessica Maloh, a Naturopathic Doctor, with a focus in integrative dermatology and research, and Dr. Melina Japolis, MD, an internist and board-certified physician nutrition specialist.
"Supplementing with L-histidine may help support skin barrier function and has been studied to show reduced eczema severity in children," says Dr. Maloh. Healthcare professionals, medical students, general pediatric practitioners, and others will gather to learn from one another and industry experts at this multi-day conference.
