Recruitment drive to meet increasing demand for homecare
With demand for homecare services rising across Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire, Caremark is seeking to expand its team of care assistants, live-in carers, support workers, and senior care roles. The recruitment drive will focus especially on people with empathy, integrity, and a desire to contribute to their local community.
New roles will be available across the following areas served by the office: Over, Swavesey, Cottenham, Willingham, Waterbeach, Bar Hill, Fulbourn, Northstowe, Oakington, Impington, Cambourne, Comberton, Sawston, Great Shelford, Little Shelford, Harston, Hauxton, Haslingfield, Barton, and Milton.
Training programme emphasising professionalism, safety, and growth
All new recruits will undergo Caremark's rigorous training pathway, tailored to the specific demands of homecare and subject to Caremark's standards. Training will include, but not be limited to:
* Mandatory inductions covering safeguarding, health & safety, infection control, and person-centred care
* Dementia awareness, palliative care, and specialist condition modules
* Practical shadowing and supervised visits with experienced carers
* Ongoing professional development, refresher courses, and mentoring
Prospective carers will also be subject to enhanced DBS checks and must provide credible references, consistent with Caremark's commitment to safety and trust.
This training approach ensures that each care assistant is not only prepared for the practical aspects of the role, but also supported in developing professional skills, confidence, and long-term prospects.
