Nexus (CEO: Henry Chang) and Playwith Korea (CEO: Hakjun Kim) announced that their co-published MMORPG "Rohan2 Global" has achieved remarkable milestones ahead of its official global launch, further heightening expectations in the market.
"Rohan2 Global" is based on the popular long-standing IP Rohan, which first launched in Korea in 2005 and has been enjoyed by players worldwide for more than 20 years. The game combines classic MMORPG features such as diverse races including Humans, Elves, and Half-Elves, and large-scale field boss battles, with cutting-edge blockchain technology.
One of its key innovations is an immersive tokenomics model called "Rohanomics." The game's core currency, Ruby, has a fixed total supply of 1 billion. Rubies consumed through player activity are stored in a vault system and reintroduced through a marketplace, creating both scarcity and sustainable value within the economy.
Rohan2 Global has been conducting sequential presales of Ruby, its core in-game asset. The first presale sold out within three minutes, while the second round also sold out in a short time, highlighting the overwhelming interest from global gamers. In addition, the number of pre-registered users has already surpassed 3 million, reaffirming the brand power of Rohan2 Global and the strength of its MMORPG fan base worldwide.
The game is set for its official global launch on September 30, alongside the debut of CROSS Wave Season 1, a blockchain-powered reward platform where creators and fans can grow together through transparent and fair distribution.
Season 1 will feature the largest creator reward pool in history, consisting of 5,000,000 CROSS tokens and 5% of all Rohan2 Global revenue. These rewards will be combined into the CROSS Wave Pool, establishing the largest reward structure for creators and fans worldwide.
Creator applications will open on September 23 via the CROSS Wave teaser site. Selected creators will be able to produce content based on Rohan2 Global and receive DROP contributions from fans. DROP is a point awarded to players when they make in-game purchases, and creators are ranked and rewarded according to the amount of DROP they receive.
