CCM: Inventor of liquid glass coating for cell phones - trend term gets a new boost

Back in 2011, CCM was the first company in the world to launch a liquid glass coating specifically for cell phone displays. At that time, most displays were still made of plastic. The innovation caused a sensation with its high scratch resistance and water repellency and was quickly sold in over 60 countries - both under its own name and as an OEM solution.

Since 2011, CCM has continuously optimized its liquid glass coating - today it makes the smartphone display scratch-resistant and water-repellent, has a biostatic effect (significantly inhibits the growth of bacteria on the surface) and reduces exposure to gamma radiation, which is considered to be highly damaging to cells.
"We are delighted that the term liquid glass is so popular at the moment - even if it is used in very different contexts. At CCM, Liquid Glass stands for genuine, sprayable and wipeable glass coating," explains Bernd Zimmermann, founder and Managing Director of CCM GmbH.
Today, CCM is one of the world's leading suppliers of liquid glass coatings and supplies customers in over 80 countries worldwide.
Note: The term "liquid glass" is also used internationally in other technical contexts. In this communication it is used exclusively for the spray and wipe-on glass sealant developed by CCM.
