The mission, led by Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC) in collaboration with SpaceX, involves deploying a 12U CubeSat into lunar orbit. According to space industry trackers like Nanosats Database, the DOGE-1 mission is listed as a CubeSat payload manifested on Falcon 9 launches in the mid-2020s, with 2025 as the updated target. The Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, is expected to serve as the launch site.
