Image: https://www.globalnewslines.com/uploads/2025/09/1758222566.jpgMay Morrissey's inspiring debut children's book, Ben T. Finnigan's Awesome ADHD Superpowers , has been honored with the coveted Literary Titan Book Award, recognizing its powerful impact in celebrating neurodivergence and empowering children with ADHD.
The award-winning story follows Ben T. Finnigan, a young boy whose ADHD often leaves him feeling frustrated by his wiggles, racing thoughts, and big emotions. With warmth and humor, the book flips the script on what many perceive as challenges, showing instead how Ben's boundless energy, unstoppable curiosity, and creativity are his greatest strengths. Illustrated with vibrancy by Jo Litchfield, the book invites children and families to see ADHD through a lens of empowerment and joy.
A heartwarming celebration of ADHD, creativity, and courage.
The Literary Titan review praised the book as "an insightful window into the world of a child with ADHD" , noting how Morrissey authentically captures both the struggles and triumphs of living with ADHD. The review commended the book's dual perspective, highlighting how it fosters empathy in readers while offering encouragement and representation to children and families alike.
This award adds to the book's growing recognition, following its earlier win of the Firebird Book Award for Neurodiversity. Together, these accolades underscore the book's unique ability to blend education, representation, and heartfelt storytelling.
