Makera Showcases CNC Innovation at IFA 2025, Wins Innovation Award for Z1
Berlin, Germany - September 10, 2025 - Makera, a pioneer in smart desktop CNC solutions, successfully presented its latest technologies at IFA 2025 in Berlin (September 5-9). The company attracted strong interest from tech enthusiasts, creative professionals, educators, and small business innovators who wanted to see how desktop CNC machines are transforming prototyping and small-scale production.First Public Preview of the Makera Z1
IFA 2025 marked the first offline preview of the Makera Z1, the company's newest compact desktop CNC. Running alongside the Carvera and Carvera Air, the Z1 demonstrated metal machining, 4-axis rotary operations, and fine relief carving. Paired with the Makera Cyclone Dust Collector, the demos highlighted how clean and practical desktop CNC can be, even when cutting aluminum and wood.
M-Tank Battle Arena Engaged Crowds
One of the most popular activities at Makera's stand was the M-Tank battle arena. Pre-assembled CNC-made tanks, complete with machined aluminum parts and digital PCBs, were deployed in a themed battlefield. Visitors piloted the IR-enabled tanks in live matches, experiencing precision engineering in a fun, interactive format.
Z1 Wins IFA Innovation Award
Makera is proud to announce that the Makera Z1 received the "Best in Content Creation" award at the IFA Innovation Awards 2025. Designed with the motto "Entry-Level CNC, Pro-Level Power," the Z1 offers:
Built-in camera for monitoring and time-lapse capture
Integrated dust collection with spindle-mounted blower
Compact, portable design ideal for studios and small workspaces
Looking Ahead
Makera also announced updates to its software Makera Studio (formerly Makera CAM), featuring a redesigned user experience, integrated machine control, and smart machining wizards. In addition, the upcoming Makerables content hub will provide a model library, maker competitions, and AI-powered modeling tools.
