Orlando, FL - Born in Queens, New York in 2000, Richard Torres grew up in poverty, in a family dependent on government assistance. By his early 20s, he was working as an EMT in Queens, dedicating long hours to saving lives - but struggling to save his own future. Living first in his mother's basement and then in a converted garage apartment that cost $1,800 a month, Torres felt trapped in a cycle of long hours and low pay.
"I was working 16-hour shifts and still couldn't get ahead," Torres recalls. "It felt like no matter how hard I worked, financial freedom was impossible."
That breaking point became his turning point. Determined to change his trajectory, Torres immersed himself in learning credit, business, and real estate. What started as personal survival quickly transformed into a mission to help others - the birth of Happy Haven.
From Struggle to Scaling Nationally
Today, Torres is a Florida-based entrepreneur making a national impact through his company, Happy Haven, which provides a unique blend of financial empowerment services:
