About the book:
Emily Watson, an English woman living in New York, learns through a telephone call that her mother has passed away. She immediately returns home to Britain to organize the funeral and the sale of her parents’ house. But her mother’s last letter raises questions she finds impossible to answer. A dark family secret emerges which beckons to be looked into. It apparently is the cause why over the past years all other relatives have met their mysterious ends. In her quest to find the truth behind the family drama Emily comes across the vampire people. Her fate takes an unexpected turn when she meets Roy, their leader. He forces her to help them against an organisation set on entirely eliminating all vampires. What starts like blackmailing finally ends in a turmoil of emotions, and all of a sudden Emily faces the most difficult decision of her life …
