Carolina Film Festival Announces 2025 Event at Independent Picture House in Charlotte, NC

CHARLOTTE, NC - September 5, 2025 - The Carolina Film Festival [https://www.carolinafilmfestival.com/] today announced details for its upcoming 2025 event, scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Independent Picture House Theater in Charlotte, North Carolina. The festival begins with a red carpet experience at 1:30 PM, featuring music by Deejay Lo-Tek, followed by the official start of the program at 2:00 PM.
This year's festival will showcase and honor a wide selection of films across multiple categories, including Best Short, Best Horror, Best Drama, and others. Winning films will be announced during the event, with awards presented directly to the filmmakers in recognition of their work.
In addition to screenings, the festival will feature a Q&A panel with industry guests:

The festival is also honored to welcome North Carolina Senator Caleb Theodros as a special guest speaker. Senator Theodros will discuss Senate Bill 301, a new initiative aimed at supporting and uplifting North Carolina's film industry and the creative professionals who power it.
