Trauma Therapist Institute Launches Live Training: Control, Shame & Survival: A Trauma-Informed Lens to Eating Disorder Treatment
Denver, CO - The Trauma Therapist Institute [https://www.traumatherapistinstitute.com/] (TTI) is introducing its newest advanced training for mental health professionals: Control, Shame & Survival: A Trauma-Informed Lens to Eating Disorder Treatment. The live virtual event will take place on September 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. CT and will run for four and a half hours. Registration for the training is $140, which includes lifetime access to the course as well as continuing education credits through ASWB and NBCC. For those unable to attend live, the course will also be available on demand one week later through TTI's training platform.
Led by trainer Llyndsey Gregory, LCSW, this course takes a trauma-informed approach to eating disorder treatment, recognizing that disordered eating often reflects much deeper experiences of trauma, attachment injuries, and survival adaptations. Gregory will guide clinicians in uncovering the roots of these struggles, teaching them how to identify subtle signs of trauma, break cycles of shame, and apply a neuro-informed, whole-person framework to treatment. Participants will walk away with practical interventions that can be integrated immediately into their work with clients.
The training is designed to be both educational and flexible. With lifetime access and payment plan options available, clinicians can revisit the material as needed. Beyond offering knowledge, the course is structured to empower therapists to shift their approach to eating disorder treatment from symptom management toward building safety, trust, and resilience for clients in recovery.
