I.D.K. stands at the crossroads of punk and rock, creating music with vision and purpose

New Jersey punk rock veterans I.D.K. are paying tribute to their roots with a ferocious new cover of Black Sabbath's iconic track, "Symptom of the Universe." The track will be released September 5, 2025, on Scorpion Records, hitting all major digital platforms worldwide.

"Sabbath laid the foundation for everything heavy," says I.D.K. vocalist Anthony 'Red' Paladino. "This is our tribute to the band that shaped heavy music - done in our own way, with all the grit and urgency that I.D.K. brings."

Formed in 1991, I.D.K. carved a name in the Northeast punk scene, releasing a string of hard-hitting EPs along with their full-length LP and performing alongside genre powerhouses like Hatebreed, Murphy's Law, Sick of it All, and Biohazard. Their live sets and visceral lyrics - rooted in themes of anger, survival, and emotional truth - earned them a loyal underground following.

This upcoming single marks the band's first official release with Scorpion Records, signaling a new chapter in I.D.K.'s decades-long run. The cover retains Sabbath's dark groove while injecting it with raw punk energy and a crushing modern edge.

The current band lineup includes:
Anthony "Red" Paladino - vocals
Tom Conti - guitar
Adrian Spoleti - guitar
Fabio Amato - drums
Mike Nappi - guitar

"Symptom of the Universe" by I.D.K. will be available September 5, 2025 on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, and all major digital platforms.
