Alvin Soprano's The Witching Hour Series Faces Delay; Premiere Rescheduled for September

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN - August 31, 2025 - The upcoming Machinima mini-series, The Witching Hour, created by filmmaker Alvin Soprano, is now set for a September premiere after being originally scheduled for an August release. The series, expanded from a 2020 short film by Soprano and director Harley Coleman, will consist of six episodes in total with monthly releases. The first episode, "Pastor Ashton," is scheduled to be the series' debut. The entire series is produced using the The Sims 4 game engine and rendered in Blender.

Alvin Soprano, the independent horror filmmaker and machinima artist known for her works such as Fantasmus and Bone-Skinny, was previously the target of a digital impersonation incident affecting her online presence. A fraudulent BlueSky account using the handle @alvinsoprano gained over 3,000 followers within five days, leveraging a username previously linked on her official channels. Soprano, however, had not been active on the platform since deleting her account in April 2025.

The impersonator's actions were escalated to Soprano's longtime representative, Helen Gaard, after being flagged by a fan page on BlueSky, @alvinsopranoworld. The fraudulent account was subsequently reported and removed.

In related news, her team has confirmed that the filmmaker's official Instagram account, @alvinsoprano, has been fully secured and returned to her social media team as of July 22nd.

Throughout her career, which began in 2007, Soprano has maintained a low public profile, preferring to let her work speak for itself. "I just want to be good at what I do," Soprano stated in a recent interview. "I want to create things that people remember, not because of me, but because it made them feel something."

As of now, Alvin Soprano's only official online presence is through her website alvinsoprano.com, her Instagram @alvinsoprano and YouTube channel Soprano Proudctions. Any other accounts claiming to be her should be considered unauthorized.
