Riverside, NJ USA – On Sunday April 6, 2008, at 1:00pm Dr. Lee's Martial Arts Academy will be holding a grand opening celebration and open house of its new 2000 sq feet martial arts school. Once a longtime Bank in Riverside, NJ, Dr. Lee has refurbished and redesigned the facility into a martial arts and holistic healing practice. Dr. Lee has traveled extensively throughout Asia for inspiration of his new facility that has elegant Asian designs and aesthetics that rival any marital arts studio in the Far East.

“After several months of working long days on the building, recruiting talented martial arts’ instructors and designing a martial arts and holistic healing curriculum, we are excited to see this project finally come to fruition.” Said Dr. Lee

The exterior of the building greets you with two large statues, a beautifully designed entrance way and a large custom designed Ying and Yang symbol by Dr. Lee and Instructor Ron Taylor on the center floor of the building. Dr. Lee has an all-star field of martial arts’ instructors who have well over a hundred and fifty years of martial arts teaching experience. Among the 10 instructors and advisors of the school, each teach their own style and martial arts system that includes Kung Fu, Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu, Shaolin Kungfu, Hung Gar, Tai Chi, Yoga, Hapkido, Qigong, Tai Kwan Do, Filipino Fighting Arts, Japanese Karate, White Crane Kung Fu, Aiki –Jiujitsu, The Art of Baguazhang, Zikdokan Amara Arkanis Filipino Martial & Healing Arts Education and more.

“The school is unique in that students can train in one system and learn the culture, history and form from an experienced instructor who loves the art and teaching students of all ages from children to baby boomers who looking to harness their inner chi, “said Dr. Lee. Many of the distinguished instructors have taught high profile celebrities, police departments and members of the Armed Forces including US Navy Seals, said Dr. John Lee, founder and visionary of the school. The school is unique to the martial arts industry in that it is a one-stop shop that is not limited to martial arts that has a second floor that offers chiropractic service, holistic healing, acupuncture and culture classes.

“Students have the ability to cross train into another system or climb the ranks of a particular system that offers self discipline, fitness, mental and physical health and appreciation of martial arts and holistic health.” Said Dr. Lee who also owns International Traders Group, a martial arts supply store in Burlington City, New Jersey that offers a discount to the students of the school.

Two Featured Instructors:

Master Keith Mazza

Master Keith Mazza has been training in the martial arts for over 30 years, specializing in Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu. A three-time Hall of Fame inductee, Mazza was handpicked by Grandmaster William Cheung to train and serve as the North American Liaison for the World Wing Chun Kung Fu Association. Grandmaster William Cheung was the teacher of Bruce Lee.

Aside from expertly training students in the art, he uses his talents to implement Grandmaster Cheung's Stress Management and Pro-Tekt Rape Awareness & Prevention programs into government institutions and corporate facilities. He designs and institutes training programs for military and law enforcement personnel, the physically and mentally challenged and the elderly in surrounding South New Jersey medical facilities.

In addition, Master Mazza collaborates with the Board of Education to aid students, from primary school to college levels, cope with day-to-day pressures with the implementation of stress/anger management and self-defense programs. Through this type of dedication to the art and exceptional fighting expertise, Master Keith Mazza honorably became Grandmaster Cheung's first Closed Door Student in 2006.

Mataw Guro (Master Teacher)

Luis Rafael "Louelle" Lledo was born in Zamboanga City in the Island of Mindanao, in the Southern Philippines; He holds the rank of IKA-WALONG ANTAS Sagisag na Itim and the title Punong Mataw Guro (Head Master Teacher in the Filipino Fighting Arts and in Japanese Karate. He finished high school at Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Zamboanga City, Philippines, and has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Laboratory Medicine Graduate. Has a Master’s Degree in Sports Science Physical Education.
