Lewiston, ID - July 28, 2025 - Hells Canyon Grand Hotel is proud to announce the appointment of Anthony "Tony" Owens as its new Food & Beverage Director. With an extensive background in culinary arts, nutrition, and performance training, Owens brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to the role.

Originally from Northridge, California, Owens began his culinary journey at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, earning his first degree at just 19 years old. Since then, he has gone on to earn two additional culinary degrees and has traveled extensively both nationally and internationally to further refine his craft.

In addition to his culinary credentials, Owens is a Certified Nutrition Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Professional Kitchen Manager. He is also certified in Natural Plant Remedies, reflecting his holistic approach to food, wellness, and performance.

Chef Tony's culinary career has strong ties to the world of professional sports. A former athlete who once played for the Raiders, he later returned to the organization as a chef, preparing food for suite-level events and ownership gatherings. He was also part of the Super Bowl culinary teams for three consecutive seasons, contributing to events in Las Vegas, New Orleans, and beyond.

In addition to football, Tony cooked for high-profile motorsport events, including the Daytona 500 and Sebring Raceway, where he served racing teams, pit crews, and VIP guests with meals tailored for peak performance and recovery.

Though he's since stepped away from the sports arena, Chef Tony brings that same precision, discipline, and high-performance mindset to every kitchen he leads.
