China Internship Program

The Ireland Sino Institute today unveiled its China Internship Programme, starting in August 2025. Offering formal teaching experience in rural schools (Ambassador track only), expert-led Mandarin lessons, an exclusive guided cultural tour, and full Z‐visa sponsorship. The programme empowers participants to serve as "Ambassadors for Rural Development" in Northeast China.

🎓 Programme Tracks: Mandarin, Culture & Impact
Three structured packages combine language learning, cultural immersion, tour experiences, and visa support. Only the Ambassador route provides structured teaching roles:

Explorer Package - 3 Months (€7,000)

15 hrs/week Mandarin lessons with qualified instructors

5 hrs/week real-life language practice through local activities (family meals, exchanges, community events)

Free Wi-Fi accommodation, monthly stipend of 2,500 RMB

Z‐visa sponsorship (legal work & study visa)

Based at the Institute's Asia HQ in Tieling, Liaoning Province

Voyager Package - 6 Months (€14,000)

All Explorer benefits plus:

A fully guided cultural tour exploring iconic landmarks and hidden gems

No formal teaching placements

Offers enhanced cultural exposure and language immersion over six months

Based at the Institute's Asia HQ in Tieling, Liaoning Province

Ambassador Package - 12 Months (€28,000)

All Voyager benefits plus:

Professional teaching placements in rural schools, directly supporting education in high-dropout communities

Earn the honorary title Ambassador for Rural Development upon completion

📝 Application Process

Apostilled degree certificate & criminal record check (issued within the last six months)

TEFL certification

Recommendation letter

Passport bio page & two passport-sized photos

Once documents are reviewed and an interview is completed, successful candidates receive a Z‐notification letter enabling them to apply for their Z‐visa for legal work or teaching in China.

Flight booking follows visa approval

Interns are based at the Ireland Sino Institute's Asia Headquarters in Tieling City-just a 30-minute high-speed train ride from Shenyang. The city balances affordability and authenticity, making it an ideal base for cross-cultural engagement and educational impact.
