Die GALERIE SUPPER freut sich sehr, auch in diesem Jahr wieder an der art KARLSRUHE, einer der größten Kunstmessen im deutschsprachigen Raum, teilzunehmen. Im Kontext internationaler Aussteller mit einem Schwerpunkt auf moderner und zeitgenössischer Kunst präsentieren wir ausgewählte Positionen aus dem Programm der Galerie mit aktuellen Arbeiten.

Die Werke von Katharina Meister (*1981, Karlsruhe, Installation) wirken durch ihre facettenreiche Materialität stark installativ. Fragile Scherenschnitte, die mehr auf Auflösung statt Anhäufung von Material beruhen, werfen immer wieder die Frage nach dem Umgang mit unserer Umgebung und der Natur auf. Die tiefen Holzrahmen – ehemals zur Präsentation naturhistorischer Sammlungen genutzt – bringen uns der Thematik auf eindringliche Weise näher.

Von Monika Thiele (*1966, Erfurt, lebt und arbeitet in Baden-Baden, Zeichnung) werden in diesem Jahr ganz besondere Arbeiten zu sehen sein. Neben den Fadenbildern, für die die Künstlerin bekannt ist, besinnt sie sich in ihren aktuelle Werken zurück auf den Ausgangspunkt ihrer künstlerischen Praxis: die gerade Linie. In überarbeiteten und neu produzierten Zeichnung lotet sie den Freiraum, den diese strikte Form bieten kann, auf überraschende Weise neu aus.

An unserem Stand in der Halle 2 / A18 zeigen wir außerdem folgende Positionen aus dem Programm der Galerie:
Rayk Goetze (*1964, Stralsund, Malerei), Andreas Lau (*1964, Karlsruhe, Malerei), Roland Schauls (*1953, Luxemburg, Malerei), Andreas Wachter (*1951, Chemnitz, Malerei und Skulptur), KEHL (1964*, Wissen an der Sieg, Skulptur) sowie den in Berlin lebenden Künstler Mike MacKeldey (*1973, Frankfurt/Main, Malerei).

Founded in 2002 it opened in Baden-Baden in 2012 with its current profile. The gallery promotes young, emerging artists with an unique signature. It is the intention to correlate them with renowned artists. Their positions should complement and stimulate each other, whereas every artist keeps his own characteristics.
