Planned PEThood Of Georgia

Duluth, GA (July 18, 2025) - In the first half of 2025, Planned PEThood of Georgia provided affordable veterinary care to over 5,000 animals through close to 7,000 clinic appointments, helping families across Georgia keep their pets healthy, happy, and at home. This included over 2,400 low-cost spay and neuter surgeries, a vital step in addressing the root cause of pet overpopulation in our state.

Planned PEThood of Georgia is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare nonprofit based in Duluth, GA. It delivers services that meet families where they are, especially in areas with limited access to veterinary care. From January through June, other notable highlights included:

- 178 pet adoptions, including 70 working "barn cats"
- A free outreach event in Newton County, Georgia serving over 200 pets with vaccinations, microchips, and pet supplies
- Humane education efforts that included KIRA Club workshops for young animal advocates, Neonatal Kitten Care classes with a new online resource, and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) sessions for local youth

"As we celebrate 15 years of lifesaving work, we are incredibly proud of the impact we achieved in the first half of 2025," said CJ Bentley, CEO of Planned PEThood of Georgia. "More than 5,000 pets received care at our Duluth clinic alone, and thousands more were helped through rescue, adoptions, humane education, and community outreach. I'm especially excited to share that by the end of this year, we anticipate reaching a major milestone: 100,000 spay and neuter surgeries performed since 2010.

None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our supporters. We are deeply grateful for your continued commitment to our mission."
