Combat Edge brings edgy new realism to corporate team building programmes
Flight simulation company Combat Edge (www.combatedge.co.uk) brings together RAF fighter pilots, advanced fighter simulation, and an operationally lifelike RAF air station at Staverton, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, to provide incentive and reward combat fighter simulation experiences, leader and team training, and custom experience day programs. Typical clients are blue chip companies looking to reward employee success, and build and motivate teams. How do companies stumped for ways to offer performance rewards for employee successes and leadership and team building without spending large sums of money or risk the event being seen as an ineffective 'jolly'. This new approach brings the answer that will interest all performance building companies. Combat Edge will train employees to become a 'squadron' to train and fly air combat missions, each mission made as realistic as possible by three unusual ingredients.
Firstly, employees are trained by highly experienced RAF fighter pilots, with the focus on ensuring overall mission success through team reliance. Second, the programme takes place in a realistic air station setting. When a call to action unexpectedly arrives with an attack that threatens the base, the atmosphere crackles with organized urgency. Thirdly, the fighter simulation systems shadow current NATO fighter training systems and methods, with flying simulating the widely sold US F16 Flying Falcon jet fighter. Complete immersion into the squadron scenario complements the visual simulation and clients really do believe they have become fighter pilots for the day.
Program reviews are carried out continuously during the session, and again at completion, where the day's team accomplishments are judged.
Our Guestbook confirms visitors' enthusiasm for the experience. Recent comments include:
