TPG ProjectPowerPack: The project and portfolio management tool integrates resource and scenario management

July release of the PPM tool on the Microsoft Power Platform with key enhancements for company-wide multi-project management and benefits for decision-makers and PMOs

Munich, July 14, 2025 - TPG The Project Group released the new version 2.11 of the TPG ProjectPowerPack at the beginning of July 2025. This product for project and portfolio management (PPM) based on the Microsoft Power Platform and Azure now integrates the possibilities for resource management between project and line management as well as capacity-based portfolio and scenario planning. The solution is therefore aimed specifically at companies that want to establish an end-to-end, modern PPM solution with preconfigured best practice processes in combination with role-based options for resource management in the Microsoft Cloud.

A key new feature in the current release is the structured capacity request from projects to team leaders: project leaders request required resources, team leaders provide feedback and confirmations. This creates a professional coordination process between project and line management - completely digital and traceable.

The product also makes it possible to display the aggregated resource utilization across the project portfolio and the teams. Bottlenecks can thus be identified at an early stage. At the same time, scenario management can be used to simulate alternative project portfolios in order to find the best solution for limited capacities. Decisions on project starts or postponements can be made in a data-based and comprehensible manner.

TPG ProjectPowerPack thus covers all the needs of multi-project management for all roles involved - from project managers and employees to team leaders, PMOs and decision-makers. All participants work in a common, consistent database that is stored centrally in Dataverse / Microsoft 365. The solution is modular, scalable and can be implemented via TPG QuickStart as a packaged solution at a fixed price in just a few days.
