Studio D'Lux Releases Brooding New Single "Nothing" on June 27, 2025
VERONA, NJ - June 24, 2025 - After months of anticipation, Studio D'Lux-the collaborative rock project headed by veteran keyboardist, vocalist and songwriter Doug Kistner-will unveil its newest single "Nothing" on Friday, June 27, 2025 across all major streaming and download platforms. Written by Kistner and co-produced with acclaimed engineer Marc Battaglia, the track delivers a slow-burn atmosphere of heartbreak and isolation, carried by one of the most decorated rhythm sections in modern music.
Anchoring the song's haunting pulse is legendary bassist Leland Sklar, whose resume spans Carole King, Phil Collins and James Taylor. Sklar's fluid bass lines lock in with Billy Joel alumnus Liberty DeVitto on drums, while longtime Chicago guitarist Keith Howland plays a memorable solo with both simplicity and flair. Vocals soar on the pairing of Kistner's plaintive lead and the gospel-hued harmonies of Curtis King Jr. (Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie), framing lyrics that wrestle with restless nights, unanswered prayers and the ache of an empty house.
