36 Powerful Speakers from 20 Countries

WCH Founder, HRH Queen Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura convened an Emergency Online Peace Forum, unanimously calling for immediate ceasefire and peaceful resolution between Israel & Iran.
As the first wave of global voices begins to rise in response to the escalating conflict in the Middle East, We Care for Humanity (WCH) [https://www.wecareforhumanity.org/]convened an Emergency Peace Summit yesterday 17 June 2025. The summit brought together delegates from more than 20 countries, uniting former heads of state, minor royals, diplomats, civil society leaders, peace advocates, and humanitarian actors to call for an immediate cessation of hostilities between Israel and Iran.

This urgent gathering convened by WCH Founder, Queen Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura [https://www.queenmaria.org/] from the WCH headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, and co-hosted from Doha by Dr. Joseph Timothy Rivera, WCH Country Director for Qatar, reflected the international community's deepening concern over the growing humanitarian toll, the potential for broader regional destabilization, and the severe economic and climate repercussions that could follow if hostilities continue.

The hours-long summit concluded with a joint declaration urging all nations to act decisively for peace, uphold international humanitarian law, and prioritize diplomacy to avert further suffering and irreversible global consequences. The declaration also charted concrete manifestations of how global leaders must place human life above all political or strategic gains in times of escalating conflict. Key points included:

* Immediate steps the international community can take to de-escalate tensions and prevent the proliferation or use of weapons of mass destruction;

* Recognition of the power of citizen-led peace initiatives, like this summit, to directly influence governmental policies toward diplomacy and non-aggression; and

* A unified call to ensure that compassion and the sanctity of life guide every decision made in the face of war and conflict.

In her powerful opening statement at the Emergency Online Peace Forum, H.M. Maria Amor Leonor Torres Mastura called on global citizens, leaders, and peace advocates to unite in urgent action for an immediate ceasefire and peaceful resolution between Israel and Iran.

She underscored the deepening crisis not only in the Middle East but globally-referencing ongoing conflicts in Ukraine, South Sudan, and Gaza-and warned against the looming threat of nuclear escalation. With heartfelt urgency, Queen Maria questioned the absence of compassion in decision-making and challenged the international community to rise above divisions and act as one humanity.

She emphasized that citizen-led action is vital, as waiting on governments has proven insufficient. Her address concluded with a call to collective reflection and bold, unified action, declaring that even small voices, when joined together, can become a powerful force for peace.

Speaking on behalf of migrant workers in the Middle East, Dr. Joseph Timothy Rivera called for an immediate end to the conflict, emphasizing that war not only endangers innocent lives but also exacerbates economic instability, disrupts global livelihoods, and accelerates the climate crisis. He appealed to world leaders, international institutions, and civil society to prioritize diplomacy over devastation, warning that "the stakes are very very high" and civilian populations are now being targeted... He stressed that this is a call for humanity to save the world for future generations, even if it comes from a "small voice" that can create significant change.

Former President of Ecuador H.E. Rosalia Arteaga delivered a speech emphasizing the urgent need for peace efforts and agreements among countries. She highlighted that while Latin American nations may not have declared wars, they are engaged in a "war" against criminal and "narco guerilla gangs" that utilize guns, questioning why these organized crime groups can agree while governments often appear unwilling to do so1. Arteaga expressed concern that many governments are not interested in dialogues or peace efforts, asserting that citizens must therefore act and be more demanding with their governments regarding peace initiatives, especially in light of current conflicts in regions like Gaza, Iran, Israel, Ukraine, and Russia. She urged the "big powers" of the world to be more confident in their ability to achieve peace and to commit to "real decision" and actions, beyond just words, to achieve universal peace.

H.M. Abdulaziz Zulkarnain Mastura Kudarat VI, Supreme Sultan of Magindanaw, Philippines called for an immediate cessation of hostilities between Iran and Israel, and urged Israel and the Palestinian Authority (under Hamas) to sign a permanent ceasefire agreement. He demanded the restoration of peace and the rebuilding of lives in occupied Palestinian territories, specifically referencing the need to implement the January 19, 2025 ceasefire agreement. This agreement, brokered by the USA, Egypt, and Qatar, included provisions for humanitarian aid, hostage exchange, Israeli withdrawal, and reconstruction of Gaza. He strongly called upon the UN Security Council to pass a resolution for a permanent ceasefire to prevent a Third World War, save innocent lives, and rebuild devastated cities and economies.

H.R.M. Akomanyi Essando V of the Kingdom of Gomoa, Odumasse, Ghana urged Israel and Iran to "choose diplomacy over destruction" and prioritize the safety and dignity of all people. He highlighted the devastating "cycle of violence and retaliation," which causes immense suffering, including the loss of innocent children and shattered lives. He called for breaking this cycle to forge a path to lasting peace and mutual understanding. He also called upon the international community to support peaceful negotiations, provide humanitarian aid, and hold leaders accountable, ending with a clear demand: "Enough is enough. It's time for peace. peace. Now Israel Iran please cease fire". He later added a message of sympathy and a call for choosing "love over hate, compassion, over fear and peace over war," hoping for a future free from violence for every child.

H.R.M. George Akufo of Akyem Dorminase, Ghana made an impassioned plea to nations in conflict to end the war and stop the violence. He stressed that the true measure of leadership is the ability to build, not destroy, and to seek peace over victory. He called upon them to replace the weapons of war with the tools of diplomacy & reconciliation for the sake of their people.
