QJMOTOR SRK 250 RD to Rival Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R in Malaysia?
Five years after Kawasaki shook the motorcycle world with the surprise debut of the Ninja ZX-25R in Indonesia, and later brought the high-revving quarter-litre four-cylinder machine to Malaysia in August 2023, a new challenger is gearing up to enter the ring.
QJMOTOR [https://global.qjmotor.com/], the Chinese motorcycle giant, is preparing to launch the SRK 250 RD, a 249cc four-cylinder sportbike that could disrupt the segment with an impressive spec sheet and a much lower expected price point. According to industry sources, MForce Bike Holdings, the official distributor of QJMOTOR in Malaysia, is currently evaluating the model for local introduction.
High-Revving Performance at a Lower Cost
The SRK 250 RD features a 249cc DOHC, liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine, capable of producing a peak power of 40.2hp at 15,500rpm and 22Nm of torque at 12,500rpm. On paper, these figures closely rival the ZX-25R, offering Malaysian riders another taste of high-revving excitement, but potentially for a lot less.
